Anna Gitschthaler

Anna Gitschthaler The Austrian soprano Anna Gitschthaler completed her master’s degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with distinction in June 2019. She is currently continuing her training in Zurich with Sandra Trattnigg (diemasterclass) and holds a scholarship from the Thyll Stiftung. She recieved significant inspiration from masterclasses with Thomas Hampson, Margreet Honig, Joseph Breinl and Brigitte Fassbaender.

Anna Gitschthaler appears regularly as a concert soloist in Switzerland and has also performed in France, Austria, Italy and Germany. In march 2022, she performed in Haydn’s “Schöpfung” with the Kantorei Zürcher Oberland; In 2020, she sang the soprano part of Dvořáks Stabat mater with the same ensemble. She produces many of her own concert programs and audiovisual works, which she publishes on YouTube.

She was already engaged in opera during her studies, where she recieved the Förderpreis of the ZHdK for her own production of Mozart’s Schauspieldirektor. Since then, she has performed in multiple productions for the Free Opera Company and participated at a scenic opera gala of the Lotte Lehmann Akademia Perleberg 2020. She previously appeared with the University Orchestra Polyphonia Zurich in december 2019, performing songs by Gustav Mahler.
